Tread-Tec provides a durable, low-sheen, protective finish on driveways, garages, walkways, patios, and pool decks.

Theoretical coverage is 175- 225 Square Feet Per Gallon. Coverage may vary based on surface texture and porosity.

Apply with a brush, medium nap roller, or airless spray. Recommended tip size .013 to .017.

Most applications are dry to touch in two (2) hours @ 77 degrees Fahrenheit and 50%

relative humidity. Ready for foot traffic in two (2) hours and vehicle traffic in seventy-two (72) hours. Ready for a re-coat in four (4) hours. Low temperature, high humidity, thick films, or poor ventilation will increase these dry times.

Preparation for new or unpainted surfaces: Surfaces must be clean, dry, and sound

before application. Contaminants such as dirt, dust, grease, wax, oil, soap film, acid residue, rust, mold, mildew, bond breakers and curing compounds must be removed before application. Oil and grease should be scrubbed with a strong detergent of trisodium phosphate diluted with water. Mildew, mold, and algae should be killed with bleach. The best results can be obtained by pressure washing with at least 2500 PSI. Dense concrete should be etched using standard acid etching procedures and safety protocols. New concrete should be allowed to cure for 60-90 days. Do not apply it over damp surfaces or when the surface temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius) or above 100 degrees (37 degrees Celsius). Do not apply if rain is prevalent. Preparation for application over previously painted surfaces: Any loose, chipping, or peeling paint must be removed. Tread-Tec may be applied over most paints if firmly bonded to the surface. Make sure surfaces are free from any contaminants by following cleaning directions for new concrete. Tread-Tec may not adhere satisfactorily to alkyds, epoxies, polyurethanes, and silicate sealers. Do not etch painted surfaces.
