WATERPROOFING A SHINGLE ROOF
1. Pressure clean the roof thoroughly.
- Apply the primer of AC64 and water.
- Fill all seams around each shingle tab.
- Apply one (1) coat of Mastic.
- Apply the finish coat of Roof Flat or Roof Gloss Paint.
- Primer: Mix 1 gallon of AC64 with 3 gallons of water and apply to the entire surface. Allow it to dry for approximately 1-2 hours.
- FIB: Brush FIB over all spaces between tabs.
- Mastic: Roll 1 coat of Mastic to the entire surface (liberally).
- Paint: After 24 hours apply the finish coat of paint – Roof Flat or Roof Gloss.
Coverage:
AC64 - approximately 1000 square feet per gallon.
FIB - dependant upon number and size of spaces.
Mastic - approximately 125 square feet per gallon.
Paint - approximately 200 square feet per gallon.
